About this role

At Mission Healthcare's Sacramento office, this role centers on building and maintaining relationships with referral sources—physicians, facilities, senior living communities, and managed care organizations—to drive patient admissions into home health services. You'll split your time between direct sales calls and community education, negotiating contracts with payors while ensuring referral partners understand Mission's service offerings. The position requires you to hit monthly and quarterly admission targets while monitoring which marketing efforts deliver the best return.

You'll need a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, plus at least one year of healthcare sales experience (home health background is preferred). The job demands strong negotiation and communication skills, the ability to work independently across a defined territory, and a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle for regular travel. Familiarity with home health operations, payor landscapes, and regulatory requirements will help you succeed quickly.

The salary starts at $80,000 with a cap of $100,000 base, plus an uncapped commission structure tied to your admission goals. This is a full-time, in-office position in Sacramento with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. It's a fit if you're energized by direct sales, relationship-building, and the healthcare industry—and if you're comfortable with variable income tied to performance.
