Description

GeoStabilization International (GSI), Access Limited, and RoadGuard together form a leading infrastructure solutions platform dedicated to protecting people and strengthening critical infrastructure across North America and New Zealand.

GSI is the premier geohazard mitigation firm specializing in emergency slope stabilization, landslide repair, grouting, and micropiles through innovative design-build delivery. Access Limited brings over a century of steep-slope expertise and operates North America’s largest fleet of spider excavators, delivering complex rockfall and geotechnical solutions in the most challenging environments. RoadGuard, founded in 2024, unites industry-leading roadway safety companies providing guardrail, bridge railing, highway signage, fencing, and specialty fabrication services.

Across all our businesses, we are driven by innovation, extreme ownership, technical excellence, and a relentless commitment to measurable results that improve safety and infrastructure resilience.

At GeoStabilization International, deep foundation, small diameter drilling is mission-critical work. We operate in unstable slopes, emergency geohazard conditions, and structurally sensitive environments where installation accuracy, casing integrity, and ground control determine project success.

We are seeking casing drilling specialists who understand that this work is not about spinning steel — it is about installing structural systems correctly the first time.

About this role

GSI Construction Jobs is hiring an experienced deep foundation driller for temporary work based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role sits at the core of geohazard mitigation—you'll be installing casing systems in unstable slopes, emergency conditions, and structurally sensitive environments where precision and integrity determine whether projects succeed or fail. The work demands someone who understands that drilling here isn't about equipment operation; it's about installing structural systems correctly under challenging subsurface conditions, from collapsing overburden to flowing sands and variable rock-to-soil transitions.

You'll need a minimum of three years of deep casing drilling experience in geotechnical or ground support applications, with demonstrated competency across concentric casing systems, duplex heads, dual rotary, percussion systems, and tie-back installations. Beyond technical capability, GSI distinguishes between competent operators who follow specifications and elite operators who anticipate subsurface problems, protect casing integrity, mentor crew members, and own the structural outcome. The role involves extensive travel across Canada (up to 100% of the time), outdoor work in varied climates, and typical construction hazards.

Compensation includes competitive hourly rates with multiple levels based on experience and certifications, annual performance bonuses, equity ownership, 100% paid travel, and benefits covering medical, dental, vision, disability, and RRSP matching. GSI emphasizes clear advancement into crew leadership or senior technical roles for high performers, positioning this as a launchpad rather than a static trade position. The company operates as part of a $550M infrastructure solutions platform focused on safety, quality, and technical excellence across North America and New Zealand.
