About this role
Working with the Washington Wizards' Events & Programs team, you'd support the full lifecycle of sales events—from strategy and logistics through execution and analysis. This means coordinating with vendors (caterers, venues, A/V companies, entertainment), managing invitations and registrations, handling budgets, and ensuring the operational details that make events run smoothly. You'll also maintain inventory of promotional products and team merchandise, use Salesforce and Archtics to track post-event data, and help set up and implement events on-site.
The role suits someone currently in school who's genuinely interested in event planning and wants hands-on experience at a major sports organization. You'll need strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive, and the ability to juggle multiple projects while staying detail-oriented. The position requires flexibility—evenings, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule—plus physical capability to lift 25 pounds, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods. At $18.40 per hour, this is a paid seasonal or part-time internship based in Washington, D.C., and you'll need reliable transportation and local housing.
