Description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society’s challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence — instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people — and we’re amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.

Role

As a Contract Administrator, you will turn executed contracts into clear, coordinated action. You will review agreements, identify obligations and deadlines, map requirements to business goals, and drive post-award administration issues through resolution in partnership with client advocates, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.

You will become an essential point of contact for customers, internal teams, and resellers as they navigate amendments, notices, renewals, and other post-award matters. In this role, you will manage 300+ active contracts and orders, own the critical renewal opportunities, and keep action items, milestones, status, and next steps documented in Salesforce.

About you

  • You are deeply familiar with contracts and the contracting process for US Federal, state, and local government.
  • You are a skilled communicator who can clearly explain and shape customer understanding of our different contract options, the purpose and value of all aspects of a contract’s terms, and guide them through the contracting process with Peregrine.
  • You are skilled at internal communications, allowing key stakeholders to clearly understand Peregrine’s options and associated trade-offs to make the best decisions possible
  • You excel at mitigating risk for the business while keeping a customer-first attitude.
  • You are a skilled negotiator who can independently drive momentum and make clear, vetted trade-offs that benefit all.
  • You enjoy guiding the customer over the finish line and are resilient and steadfast in your goals.
  • You are passionate about exploring all possibilities, and seeing opportunities when others see obstructions.
  • You are highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

What we look for

  • 5+ years of contracting experience in the enterprise software/SaaS space, state and local governments strongly preferred
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management systems and customer relationship management software, Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Ability and comfort in administering legal agreements with customers and supporting new customers through onboarding processes
  • Experience utilizing direct contracting mechanisms and 3rd party contracting vehicles such as Cooperative Purchasing Agreements
  • Familiarity with solution-based selling, experience in teaming with others to navigate a complex sales process
  • Excellent executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Located in San Francisco, California, and willing to come into our office 4 days/week

About this role

Peregrine Technologies is looking for a Contract Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of 300+ active contracts and orders serving public safety and government agencies across 30+ states. You'll review agreements, identify obligations and deadlines, coordinate with legal counsel and client advocates, and drive post-award administration through resolution in Salesforce. This role sits at the intersection of customer success and internal operations—you'll be the essential point of contact for customers, resellers, and internal teams navigating amendments, renewals, and other post-award matters.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of enterprise software or SaaS contracting experience, with particular strength in state and local government contracts. You'll need hands-on familiarity with contract lifecycle management and Salesforce, plus comfort administering legal agreements and supporting customer onboarding. Experience with direct contracting mechanisms and cooperative purchasing agreements is important, as is the ability to communicate clearly at the executive level—both internally when explaining Peregrine's options and trade-offs, and externally when guiding customers through complex processes.

This is an in-office role in San Francisco requiring four days per week on-site. The position is offered as a contract role with a salary range of $155,000–$185,000, plus benefits and equity consideration.
