About this role
McAdams' Green Stormwater Infrastructure Practice works on high-profile projects that blend water quality improvement with landscape design—from green infrastructure retrofits to watershed planning. As Project Manager, you'd own these projects end-to-end, from concept through construction, serving as the main contact for clients, internal teams, and permitting agencies. The role demands both technical depth and leadership: you'll manage budgets and schedules, mentor junior staff, navigate regulatory compliance, resolve design challenges, and contribute to business development.
This position suits someone with at least seven years in water resources or civil engineering design who is ready to step into a management role. You'll need strong AutoCAD skills, familiarity with hydrograph routing and H+H modeling, and solid knowledge of stormwater regulations. Beyond the technical qualifications, McAdams is looking for a self-starter who can think critically, communicate clearly, and wants to grow both professionally and as a mentor. The firm expects you to be licensed as a PE within four months of hire. Field work and site visits are part of the job throughout all phases.
