About this role

McAdams is building out its data center practice in the Southeast and seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead that growth from their Charlotte office. You'd own complex, multi-phase projects—from feasibility and design through construction support—managing site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, permitting, and all associated technical deliverables. This role combines hands-on project delivery with business development; you'll cultivate client relationships, identify opportunities in the hyperscale and colocation markets, and support proposal efforts to expand the practice's footprint.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of site and civil engineering experience with a strong data center portfolio, a PE license (or EI with PE in progress), and deep knowledge of permitting, stormwater management, and Civil 3D. You'll need proven success managing hyperscale and colocation projects end-to-end, excellent client-facing and communication skills, and a willingness to travel. Beyond technical expertise, this is a leadership role—you'll mentor team members, shape strategy, and help scale the practice with autonomy and support from McAdams' collaborative leadership team.
