About this role
LA28's permitting role sits at the operational heart of preparing multiple Olympic and Paralympic venues for 2028. You'd be the day-to-day coordinator ensuring all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals stay current and compliant—working across local, state, and federal requirements while tracking deadlines, maintaining documentation, and flagging issues before they become problems. This means regular coordination with city and county agencies, internal teams across venue operations and construction, and serving as the reliable reference point when questions arise about permit status or compliance.
The position calls for someone with at least three years in permit management, construction administration, or facilities work, ideally backed by a degree in Public Administration, Construction Management, or Engineering. You'd need to be comfortable navigating building codes and regulatory environments, strong with Microsoft Office and databases, and able to synthesize permit information into clear reports for management. Experience with large-scale venue or stadium projects and familiarity with LA's municipal processes would be valuable assets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The role is based in downtown Los Angeles and requires full-time onsite work in an open office setting, with occasional site visits to venues. The salary range is $30.35 to $35.00 annually.
