About this role
Ethernovia is seeking a hands-on leader to own the complete test development lifecycle for its automotive-grade Ethernet networking chips—from pre-silicon architecture through high-volume manufacturing. You'll bridge the gap between the company's world-class chip designs and production-ready silicon, working across architecture, design verification, DFT, security, and system teams to ensure testability, signal integrity, and performance standards are met at scale. This role demands deep expertise in ATE platforms (particularly 93K and Smartest), test hardware design with robust signal and power integrity, and proficiency across wafer test, final test, and system-level testing methodologies including SerDes, scan, MBIST, and security fusing.
The position requires 12+ years in fabless semiconductor operations focused on complex SOCs or networking ICs, with demonstrated success delivering high-speed communication products to automotive customers. You'll manage test labs and vendor relationships (OSATs, testers, probe cards, handlers), define DFT and design-for-manufacturability requirements, and navigate the automotive electronics ecosystem including IATF 16949 and ISO 26262. Experience with high-bandwidth data-path products and multi-site parallel testing automation is essential; experience delivering SerDes products to Tier-1 automotive OEMs is a competitive advantage.
Based in San Jose and working in-office, you'll join a well-funded startup ($154M raised) backed by Porsche, Qualcomm, AMD, and others, with the opportunity to shape silicon for autonomous vehicles and robotics at a critical stage before IPO. The role offers competitive base salary (220K–280K), pre-IPO equity, and the technical depth and autonomy that typically only emerge in high-growth, pre-public companies.
