Why are we hiring:
To handle all GL related activities, handling clients call and helping the cited in case of any queries and supporting the team in case of any adhoc request closing of GL without any discrepancy.
Job location : Vikhroli
Shift : General (9:00 am or 11:00 am onwards)
5 days a week
What you'll be doing:
➡️ Responsible for general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities.
➡️ Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting.
➡️ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.
➡️ Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
➡️ Coordinating with auditors for Interim audit and providing the details / schedules required by them.
➡️ Preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet along with all schedule and other reports required by management.
➡️ Doing monthly analysis of P&L and Balance sheet items and highlight major variances/ observations to management.
➡️ Handling all GL related queries thru mails & calls from OPCO Team, Inter department, Agency & Region.
➡️ SOX Compliance
You will need :
- Education: Semi-qualified CA with 3-4 years of experience or Commerce graduate with 6+ years of experience.
- Strong undrstanding of GL Accounting & RTR process.
We are preferring Mumbai based candidates.

About this role
WPP is seeking a Senior Analyst to own general ledger accounting and month-end close operations at its Mumbai office. You'll prepare journal entries and reconciliations, manage financial reporting, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and auditors to ensure accurate, compliant GL processes. The role involves monthly P&L and balance sheet analysis, variance reporting to management, handling GL queries from internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining SOX compliance—essentially serving as the backbone of the accounting function for the organization.
The ideal candidate is a semi-qualified CA with 3–4 years of GL and RTR experience, or a commerce graduate with 6+ years in accounting roles. You need strong technical grounding in general ledger accounting, month-end close procedures, and internal controls. This is a full-time, in-office position in Vikhroli on a standard 9–11 AM shift, five days a week. WPP prefers candidates based in Mumbai.
