Description

In a nutshell

Our Recruitment team plays a crucial role in finding top talent worldwide and persuading them to join Picnic. If you have excellent communication skills, thrive on identifying the right profiles, and know how to get candidates excited about unique challenges, we want to hear from you! Understanding the profiles we seek is key, as finding the right people is vital to our success. As a working student, you get the opportunity to join our Recruitment team - helping with events, sourcing, and recruitment initiatives! We are looking for someone who can support our team for at least 16-20 hours a week (the more the merrier).

Tricks of the trade

  • Collaboration: You'll work closely with our recruiters and various internal teams to understand the specific requirements for open positions
  • Sourcing: Using LinkedIn Search and other search techniques, you'll actively look for potential candidates and approach them to explore opportunities at Picnic
  • Strategy: You'll support the team with creative strategies that help build the talent pipelines with unique talent
  • Innovation: You'll bring fresh ideas and provide valuable input to enhance our talent pipeline processes and improve overall recruitment outcomes

For example, every year at Picnic we organize a Business Course event for potential Analyst candidates (see video here). In 2026, it could be YOU the one recruiting for it, together with the support of our Analytics Recruitment team.

Your superpowers

  • You are currently pursuing studies in Psychology, HRM, Business Administration or similar fields
  • You have prior internships or working-student experience, preferably in active sourcing or recruiting
  • You are ambitious and dare to generate and share cool ideas all the time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably also Dutch, German or French
  • You are a team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

At Picnic, we use Greenhouse as our ATS. It's great if you're familiar with it or if you're curious to learn!

About this role

Picnic's Recruitment team is looking for a working student to support their efforts to source and attract talent across the organization. You'd spend at least 16–20 hours per week collaborating with recruiters to identify candidates on LinkedIn, help shape recruitment strategies, and contribute ideas to strengthen talent pipelines. The role offers real ownership—you might help organize recruitment events like Picnic's annual Business Course for analyst candidates, working directly with the team to bring them to life.

The ideal candidate is studying Psychology, HRM, Business Administration, or a related field and has prior experience in sourcing or recruiting, either through internships or previous working-student roles. You'll need strong English communication skills (Dutch, German, or French is a plus) and the ability to work collaboratively while managing details carefully. Familiarity with Greenhouse ATS is helpful but not required.

You'd be based in Amsterdam working in-office, earning €16,75 gross per hour with a laptop, phone, and reimbursed travel costs. Beyond compensation, Picnic offers professional development through Lunch & Learn sessions and soft skills training, mental health support, sports communities, daily fresh lunches, and a genuinely international team environment across 80+ nationalities.
