About this role
PolyNovo's Production Technician role sits at the heart of manufacturing medical devices that have already improved outcomes for over 70,000 patients globally. Based in Melbourne and working in-office shifts, you'd operate within a cleanroom facility producing both commercial products and prototypes using the company's proprietary bioabsorbable polymer technology. The work spans hands-on production tasks—mixing, handling solutions, equipment setup and calibration—alongside quality monitoring, documentation, and process optimization to ensure every item meets strict medical device standards.
You'll need solid production experience with polymers and chemical handling, ideally with prior cleanroom exposure and working knowledge of GMP and GDP protocols. The role demands someone who works well independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the discipline to follow procedures precisely while also spotting ways to improve efficiency and safety. Clear communication and meticulous documentation skills are essential, as you'll be logging production data, flagging non-conformances, and contributing to continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
This is a genuine opportunity to contribute to a growing, ASX-listed medtech company with a track record of innovation and patient impact. PolyNovo offers career development, flexible benefits including salary packaging, and a collaborative culture—though the role itself is fundamentally about precision, compliance, and keeping production moving reliably.
