About this role
Working as an Account Executive in P&C insurance at IMA Financial Group means owning the full lifecycle of client relationships—from policy renewal and coverage analysis through negotiation with underwriters and proposal development. You'll manage a book of business generating $900K to $1M in revenue, split between emerging and middle market accounts, while working under the mentorship of a senior Account Executive on larger, more complex deals. The role requires you to develop deep knowledge of each client's operations and needs, lead renewal kickoffs with strategic game plans, and maintain strong carrier relationships throughout the year.
This position demands both technical skill and business acumen. You'll need to master P&C insurance products and industry trends, navigate AMS systems for data management, and coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders. The work is collaborative—IMA emphasizes team-based selling and support systems—and the Chicago office location is in-person.
Note that this listing is classified as an internship role, which affects eligibility for the benefits package described. The salary range of $100K–$200K reflects the full spectrum of compensation for this position type, with your actual offer depending on experience and skills.
