About this role
Mintel's Associate Principal Analyst role in Food & Drink offers the chance to establish yourself as a market expert while working directly with India's most dynamic consumer brands. You'll author insight-led reports using proprietary consumer and product data, design quantitative research projects, and translate complex market shifts into commercially actionable recommendations. The work spans primary and secondary research, trend analysis, category expertise development, and close partnership with Mintel's commercial teams to drive client retention and growth.
This is fundamentally a client-facing advisory role as much as it is analytical. You'll present findings to senior stakeholders, lead workshops and briefings, and represent Mintel at industry conferences and media engagements. Success depends on combining strong data analysis skills with the ability to tell compelling stories that inspire action—and on building recognized expertise across key Food & Drink categories in India's market.
You'll need 5–7 years in Food & Drink or FMCG, ideally in consumer insights or marketing roles where you've already translated market intelligence into growth strategies. Quantitative research design, commercial awareness, and confident stakeholder communication are essential. The role is based in Mumbai with a hybrid arrangement requiring two days per week in office.
