About this role

IMC's India Compliance team is seeking a Trade Surveillance Analyst to investigate market abuse alerts and help manage regulatory risk across the firm's trading operations. You'll work directly with traders, technologists, and compliance colleagues to monitor surveillance systems, investigate alerts for manipulative practices like spoofing and wash trading, and recommend improvements to controls and detection parameters. The role requires hands-on alert management, data analysis, and close collaboration across the business to keep IMC's trading activities aligned with SEBI and exchange regulations.

This position suits someone with two to four years of surveillance experience in India's financial markets—whether at a trading firm, broker, regulator, or exchange. You'll need a strong foundation in trade surveillance and market abuse detection, comfort with large datasets and Excel-based analysis, and ideally some familiarity with surveillance platforms like SMARTS or OneTick. A degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field is required. Beyond technical skills, the role demands clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while learning quickly and taking ownership of projects.
