We're on the lookout for leads and managers who have experience hiring tech professional to join OfferZenâs Code Council. Think of it as paying it forwardđĄ
As a Technical Vetting Contractor, youâll help assess real candidates looking for tech jobs by reviewing tech assessments and conducting technical interviews. Only free to do one tech assessment per week? That's fine. Want to do two every day? Great! This is a flexible arrangement that allows you to commit as much time as you're able.

What youâll do
- Conduct candidate technical vetting.
- Reviewing AI generated Assessments for specific positions.
- Review & Grade candidate assessment submissions.
- Conduct technical Interviews with candidates who pass the assessment.
- Provide summaries (write-ups) of the candidate that can be submitted to the Customer.
- Provide feedback to the Head of Technical Vetting on our technical vetting rigour and process.
- Collaborate with the product team to improve platform tools and insights for tech vetting.
- Document and maintain guidelines for assessments, scoring, and summaries.
Youâll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Technical assessment ability: Strong judgment in evaluating assignment submissions and conducting technical interviews across multiple tech stacks.
- Attention to detail: Accurate, high-quality assessments and summaries. Identifies subtle signals in technical skills (eg: code, process flow, automation) and communication.
- Interviewing skills: Can run structured technical interviews that assess both hard skills and problem-solving approaches.
Background:
- 5+ years as a senior tech professional, we're on the look out for:
- Senior Software Engineers, Leads or Managers with experience in C++, and/or, C#/.NET, and/or MERN stack, and/or Golang
- Senior Data Engineers (or Leads, Managers)
- Senior Data Scientists, Data Analysts (or Leads, Managers)
- Senior DevOps / Platform Engineers (or Leads, Managers)
- Extensive experience conducting technical interviews and reviewing assessments.Â
- Demonstrated ability to identify high-quality candidates.

About this role
OfferZen's Code Council is looking for experienced tech leads and senior engineers to evaluate candidates applying for jobs through their platform. As a Technical Vetting Contractor, you'd review coding assessments, conduct technical interviews, and write summaries on candidates across various specializationsâwhether that's backend systems, data engineering, DevOps, or full-stack development. The work is genuinely flexible: you set your own pace, from one assessment weekly to multiple daily, fitting around your existing commitments.
This role suits someone with 5+ years at senior level who has already done substantial technical hiring or interviewing. You'll need sharp judgment to spot both technical depth and problem-solving approach in candidates, plus the attention to detail to produce fair, accurate assessments. The position also involves collaborating with OfferZen's product team to refine their vetting tools and documenting scoring guidelinesâso you're not just evaluating in isolation, but helping shape how the platform works.
