About this role
Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists is Vermont's only 24/7 specialty and emergency animal hospital, and this Client Service Representative role is the frontline of their operation. You'd be managing phone calls on a multi-line system, greeting clients warmly, admitting patients, maintaining medical records, handling payments, and fielding questions about routine care and preventive products. The work requires accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment where your interactions directly affect how pet owners experience emergency and specialty veterinary care.
This position suits someone with strong communication skills and genuine comfort working with both animals and the people who care for them. While prior veterinary reception experience is preferred, the main requirement is demonstrated competence in basic office functions within a busy setting—you'll need to juggle multiple tasks, from preparing invoices to relaying messages accurately. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
The role is overnight, in-office at the Williston location. Rarebreed Veterinary Partners emphasizes culture and professional support, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) match; paid time off with flexible scheduling; continuing education support; and pet-specific benefits including discounts on veterinary services and preferred insurance rates.
