About The Opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optometrist (OD) to provide care across multiple locations throughout Arizona.

This is a field-based role where you’ll function as an extension of the clinical care team, delivering essential vision services directly to patients in a consistent, well-supported environment serving senior populations.

If you’re looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency — without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice — this opportunity offers flexibility and strong operational support.

The Setting

This opportunity operates across established long-term care and skilled nursing environments.

• Facilities have consistent patient volume and support staff
• Organized scheduling and coordinated patient flow
• Structured, repeatable weekly routes

We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics — allowing you to focus entirely on patient care.

• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations
• Work alongside facility staff to coordinate patient care
• Deliver consistent, high-quality care across assigned locations

Our providers operate in a structured environment with a predictable schedule and consistent patient base.

We emphasize:

• Quality over volume
• Consistency and route-based scheduling
• Full administrative and logistical support
• Long-term facility partnerships
• Mission-driven care for senior populations

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active Arizona optometry license
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred

• Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No nights
• No weekends
• No billing or administrative responsibilities

About this role

Comprehensive Mobile Care is looking for an optometrist to deliver vision care across skilled nursing facilities throughout Arizona on a part-time, flexible basis. You'd visit established long-term care settings in the Phoenix metro area and surrounding regions—places like Tucson, Flagstaff, and Lake Havasu—working 2 to 4 days per month on a predictable Tuesday-through-Friday schedule. The company handles all logistics, equipment, scheduling, and billing, so your time is spent entirely on clinical work: comprehensive exams, diagnosing ocular conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and coordinating care with facility staff.

This role suits an optometrist who values consistency and mission-driven work over the demands of private practice ownership. You'd serve primarily senior populations in a structured environment with reliable patient volume and organized workflows—no retail setting, no administrative overhead, no nights or weekends. The compensation is $1,100 per visit as an independent contractor. An active Arizona OD license is required; experience with geriatric patients is preferred but not stated as mandatory. If you want meaningful clinical work with genuine schedule flexibility and strong operational backing, this could be a good fit.
