About this role
Energy CX is building out its New York office and seeking Account Executives to drive revenue growth in the energy brokerage space. You'd own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through closing—working with major commercial real estate firms and manufacturers. The role starts remote-first but will transition to in-office as the NYC presence launches by 2027. While the BDR team will feed you exploratory meetings once you're ramped, you'll need to demonstrate strong prospecting skills through cold outreach and leverage any existing relationships you can bring to the table.
This is a commission-heavy role built on an "eat what you kill" model, with uncapped upside. Year one OTE sits around $150,000 and scales significantly—reaching $475,000 to $525,000+ by year five, with flexibility in early-year targets based on your background. The company is the fastest-growing energy broker in the US and has been recognized by Fortune and Inc. 5000, so you'd be joining a high-growth operation during a pivotal expansion phase.
You'll need at least two years of sales experience, a proven closing track record, and genuine rapport-building ability. This role suits someone with grit who thrives on hunting new business, can articulate a value proposition clearly, and is genuinely based in NYC with the ability to visit clients in person. If you're energized by a results-driven culture and want to build something from the ground up in a recession-resistant industry, this could be a strong fit.
