About this role
CannonDesign's Denver office is seeking a Project Architect IV to lead the technical and design direction of mid-to-large-scale projects within a multidisciplinary team environment. You'll own architectural detailing, coordinate across engineering and consulting disciplines, and serve as the primary point of contact for communicating design intent and project status to clients and stakeholders. This role requires hands-on involvement in site observations, design sketches, and field coordination, paired with the business development responsibility of supporting office growth.
The position demands at least eight years of professional experience and current U.S. architectural registration, with strong proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite. Beyond technical competency, you'll need to lead and mentor junior staff, enforce quality assurance standards, and champion sustainable design integration. Success here depends on your ability to think critically, manage ambiguity, communicate clearly with diverse audiences, and implement CannonDesign's methodology to drive both project excellence and team performance. This is a contract role based in Denver requiring in-office presence, with compensation between $102,270 and $127,890 annually plus discretionary bonuses and a standard benefits package.
