About this role

VML's Auckland office is seeking a Senior Designer to lead design work for a major global beverage company's New Zealand operations. You'd own the creative output across retail-focused projects—from packaging and catalogue design to pharmacy materials and digital advertising—reporting directly to the Head of Design. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with project managers and clients to understand their needs, maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints, and mentor other designers on the team.

The position demands at least 10 years of marketing collateral design experience and expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. You'll need strong technical skills in finished art production, basic retouching, and a solid grasp of both print and digital workflows. Beyond the technical craft, the role requires excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

VML offers in-office work (with hybrid flexibility available upon discussion) alongside benefits including paid summer afternoons, birthday and loyalty leave, mental health support, and access to LinkedIn Learning. This suits an experienced designer who thrives on brand mastery, client collaboration, and developing junior talent in a structured agency setting.
