About this role
IMC is seeking a Research Analyst to cover Indian equities for its global market-making operation. You would monitor Indian corporate and macroeconomic developments, translate market-moving news and sentiment into actionable trading insights, and produce daily reports that feed into the firm's trading strategies. The role requires you to maintain deep expertise across Indian market structure, listed companies, economic conditions, and political developments—essentially serving as the on-ground intelligence hub for how Indian equity markets should be priced and traded.
You'll work closely with IMC's traders across Mumbai, Europe, and the US, collaborating on both market-making and position-taking strategies while assessing how corporate actions and upcoming events affect pricing. This is a fast-paced environment where you need to synthesize information quickly, communicate clearly across time zones, and operate comfortably under pressure. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or STEM from a strong university, has two to five years of hands-on experience in Indian equities, and brings solid Excel and Bloomberg skills. CFA qualification, Python exposure, and options knowledge are valuable additions. Team experience and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting are essential.
