About this role

Greenland Investment Management is looking for a Physical Precious Metals Trader to source and execute arbitrage opportunities across global gold and silver markets. You'd identify pricing inefficiencies between major trading hubs—Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Zurich, London, and Shanghai—and profit from geographic spreads, import/export economics, refining margins, and physical-to-paper dislocations. This is a front-office revenue role with direct P&L ownership, requiring you to build relationships with refineries, bullion banks, dealers, vault operators, and institutional counterparties while managing the full trade lifecycle from execution through settlement and delivery.

The position demands at least three years of hands-on experience in physical precious metals trading, arbitrage, or bullion trading, plus a strong grasp of global supply chains, financing structures, logistics, hedging instruments, and market mechanics across major exchanges. You'll need advanced financial modeling skills to calculate arbitrage profitability across premiums, FX, duties, financing costs, and freight, alongside the ability to navigate customs regulations, trade finance, and custody arrangements. Success hinges on generating consistent risk-adjusted returns while managing price, currency, liquidity, and counterparty risks through futures and OTC derivatives.

This role suits someone with an established network in precious metals trading and proven ability to originate deals across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. You'll work in-office in Mumbai and report performance metrics including annual arbitrage P&L, trade conversion rates, inventory turnover, and settlement accuracy to senior management.
