About this role

Working as an Account Technician intern at IMA Financial Group means supporting the Commercial Lines Service Teams across a range of insurance operations tasks. You'll spend at least half your time in the Salt Lake City office handling client-facing work that flows through the Epic system—everything from processing endorsements and invoicing to ordering loss runs, managing claim reporting, and building client portal folders. The role requires strong organizational skills to juggle competing deadlines and priorities while maintaining accuracy on detail-oriented work.

You'll need solid proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word) and ideally some familiarity with Epic, though up to six months of related experience is preferred rather than required. A high school diploma is the baseline; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential. The position involves less than 25% travel and calls for the ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with Account Managers and service teams across phone, email, and in-person interactions. This is an in-office internship, so it's suited for someone looking to build hands-on experience in insurance operations and client service within a company that has consistently ranked among the best places to work in the industry.
