We're looking for experienced individuals with deep retail market knowledge to allow us to best serve our consumers, Dashers, and merchants. Join our never-ending pursuit to better power economies in New Zealand and across the globe.

You’ll leverage AI-powered insights, data-driven signals, and emerging tools to shape strategy, inform decision-making, identify opportunities, and drive growth across complex, enterprise-level engagements. By integrating AI and data-enabled analysis into day-to-day workflows, you’ll improve prioritization, execution, and business impact while partnering cross-functionally to translate evolving platform and AI capabilities into clear, tangible value for partners and the business.

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for an Enterprise Partnerships Lead to join the New Verticals Business Development team, to sign net new retailers in New Zealand. You will be responsible for selling DoorDash’s full suite of products to retailers across our New Verticals categories, including general merchandise, as well as emerging verticals such as pets, fashion, beauty, hardware, consumer electronics, and more.

You will report to the Director of New Verticals Business Development, ANZ. This role is hybrid with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote / meeting and pitching to prospective partners.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Leverage your experience and network previously dealing with New Zealand’s largest retailers
  • Develop the tactical strategy for engaging each retailer in the sales pipeline, including the largest retailers in the country
  • Successfully negotiate and close retail partnerships across our suite of products, including Marketplace and White-Label Deliveries
  • Model, present and defend P&L implications for various deal structures for prospective partners
  • Manage the deal process with senior internal and external stakeholders to get alignment and approval on your proposed partnerships

We’re excited about you because you…

  • Have 10+ years of Enterprise business development and sales experience
  • Are experienced in negotiating partnerships with C-Suite executives at large and complex organisations, including an ability to lead analysis-driven negotiation processes
  • Are analytically minded, have strong excel (or Google Sheet) modeling skills and always use data to ground your decisions and make your case
  • Love working directly with clients; you create and maintain impactful long-term relationships with senior executives in major organisations
  • Know how to take very ambiguous and evolving challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable projects with clear goals

About this role

DoorDash's New Verticals team in Auckland is building out enterprise partnerships across retail categories beyond food delivery—general merchandise, pets, fashion, beauty, hardware, and consumer electronics. As Enterprise Partnerships Lead, you'd own the full sales cycle for net new retailers, from strategy and negotiation through to closing deals with New Zealand's largest retailers and presenting financial models to internal stakeholders for approval.

This role demands 10+ years of enterprise business development experience and a proven track record negotiating complex partnerships with C-suite executives. You'll need strong analytical skills—particularly Excel or Google Sheets modeling—to ground deal structures in data and defend P&L implications. The work is inherently relationship-driven; you'll be building and maintaining long-term connections with senior retail leaders while managing ambiguous opportunities and turning them into clear, actionable projects. You'll also be expected to leverage AI-powered insights and data-driven signals to inform your strategy and decision-making.

Based in Auckland, the role is hybrid (three days in-office, two remote) and reports to the Director of New Verticals Business Development for ANZ. Success here depends on combining deep retail market knowledge with analytical rigor, stakeholder management across complex organizations, and the ability to translate DoorDash's platform capabilities into tangible value propositions for enterprise partners.
