About this role
Brandon J. Broderick is expanding its personal injury practice and seeking experienced attorneys willing to bring their existing caseload into a larger, multi-state firm structure. This part-time role targets solo practitioners or small firm owners with at least ten years of PI experience who want to scale their practice without sacrificing client relationships or independence. You'd maintain autonomy over your book of business while gaining access to back-office support, marketing resources, administrative staff, and firm infrastructure—essentially outsourcing the operational burden so you can focus on legal work.
The position centers on managing personal injury cases across auto accidents, premises liability, and dog bite matters, from intake through resolution. You'll handle legal research, pleading drafting, and case strategy while collaborating with the firm's multi-disciplinary team. There's also an expectation of contributing to practice growth through your existing network and community involvement, positioning you to help establish the firm's PI presence in your market.
The role requires a Michigan Bar license in good standing, a JD, and a demonstrated track record in personal injury litigation with strong negotiation and communication skills. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000, with the final offer determined during interviews based on experience and business needs. Part-time employees working over 30 hours weekly are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a robust holiday schedule including summer Fridays, and 401k matching.
