About this role

Caddell Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead data center and mission-critical construction projects in Columbus. This role sits at the operational heart of complex builds, requiring someone who can manage every layer simultaneously—from verifying estimates and interpreting technical drawings to coordinating subcontractors, tracking budgets, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You'll oversee onsite teams and administrative staff, handle change orders, and serve as the primary interface between ownership, architects, engineers, and trades. The position demands both strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving, with full accountability for project delivery on time and within budget.

This is a leadership role with mentoring responsibilities. You'll develop project managers and superintendents while modeling the accountability and work ethic Caddell emphasizes internally. The job requires 15 years of project management experience minimum; a four-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, as is background with automation or manufacturing remodels. You need strong communication skills, client relations ability, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the physical capacity to work construction sites—including confined spaces and heights—in varying weather conditions.

The contract position offers a salary range of $99,500 to $149,300, with a market premium available for this mission-critical specialization. Full-time employees receive paid vacation, holidays, medical insurance with company funding for dental and vision, life and disability coverage, 401k matching, gym reimbursement, and access to company condominiums.
