About this role

Levenfeld Pearlstein's Real Estate group is looking for a midlevel associate to take on sophisticated commercial leasing work across office, industrial, and retail sectors. You'd handle transactions on both landlord and tenant sides, working with institutional owners, REITs, and other sophisticated clients. The firm values associates who can run deals with minimal supervision, think entrepreneurially, and thrive in a collaborative environment—this role reports directly to Brian Kozminski, a recognized partner and thought leader in real estate law.

The position requires three to five years of commercial leasing experience, with a strong preference for office leasing expertise. You should be comfortable managing all aspects of transactions, from negotiation through closing, and have a track record working across different property types and client profiles. The firm is ranked by Chambers and Partners and has been named "Best of the Best" twice by Midwest Real Estate News, so you'd be joining a nationally credentialed practice handling complex, high-level matters.

The role is based in Chicago and requires in-office work. Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $300,000 annually, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and performance-based bonuses. Levenfeld Pearlstein emphasizes professional development, entrepreneurial ownership of work, and a flexible, values-driven culture—positioning this as a place to build a career rather than simply practice law.
