Joining a cross-functional delivery team to support the QA phase of a key onboarding journey for a new client of ours. Working closely with developers and client stakeholders to plan, execute, and maintain testing across three layers: unit, integration, and end-to-end. Running and evolving automated tests using Playwright alongside developers, while also performing hands-on manual testing to validate new features as they are delivered and ensure a reliable, high-quality user experience.

Red Badger is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a cross-functional delivery team supporting quality assurance for a critical onboarding journey at a new client. You'll work across three testing layers—unit, integration, and end-to-end—collaborating closely with developers and client stakeholders to plan and execute testing strategy. The role combines hands-on manual testing of new features with automation work using Playwright, giving you ownership over both the technical implementation and the validation of user experience.
This is a six-month contract (with extension likely) based in Cape Town, requiring two days per week in-office at Century City. The position is open immediately with expedited interviews, making it ideal if you're ready to start soon. You'll need solid expertise in both automation and manual testing across multiple layers, plus the ability to work effectively within a delivery team environment where your QA decisions directly impact client satisfaction.
