Senior Caregiver – Pittsford, NY
A family in Pittsford, NY 14534 is seeking an experienced, patient, and compassionate caregiver to assist a 96-year-old woman. The caregiver will focus on frequent mobility support and personal hygiene assistance throughout the day.
Schedule:
- 3 days per week from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Potential for additional hours to provide overnight care
Family Specifications:
- Smoke-free home
- Pet-free home
Responsibilities:
- Toileting Care: Provide complete assistance with toileting, including pulling garments up/down, thorough wiping/cleansing, and managing hygiene.
- Full-Body Transfers: Safely perform physical transfers on and off the toilet. The client cannot support her own weight, so proper body mechanics and experience handling zero-weight-bearing individuals are essential. Must be able to assist with frequent transfers between a power lift recliner, wheelchair, and toilet/commode throughout the night.
- Ensure client safety, comfort, and positioning throughout the day
Requirements:
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting/transferring approximately 100 lbs safely)
- Experience with seniors including mobility support and transfers
- Extremely patient, attentive, and reliable
Compensation:
- $20–$25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
