About this role
Sploot Veterinary Care is launching a new clinic in Boise in early 2027 and seeking a veterinarian to help establish their practice in the region. You'd work 3–4 days per week on 10–12 hour shifts with no overnight duties, splitting your time between urgent care and general wellness cases. The clinic emphasizes quality medicine supported by a robust nursing team (up to 3:1 nurse-to-DVM ratio) and AI-assisted charting, so administrative burden stays minimal and you can concentrate on patient care.
The role calls for a DVM or VMD licensed or eligible in Idaho, with background in general practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine. Comfort with continuous learning and willingness to collaborate with medical directors are important; experience in surgery and dentistry is valued but not required. You should be someone who thrives in a supportive environment rather than a high-pressure, understaffed setting.
Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $160,000 with a competitive ProSal model, plus sign-on and relocation bonuses, fully employer-paid health coverage, $2,000 annual CE reimbursement, generous PTO, and up to 12 weeks paid parental leave. There are no non-compete clauses and no negative accrual on time off—straightforward benefits designed to support both your career development and life outside work.
