About this role

Ozow is building out its data infrastructure, and this Senior Data Engineer role sits at the center of that effort. You'd own the design and maintenance of scalable data architectures that enable the fintech platform to process high-volume payment transactions reliably while supporting analytics and strategic decision-making across the organization. Beyond hands-on pipeline development, you'd mentor junior engineers, collaborate across product and engineering teams, and drive improvements in data governance, quality, and cost efficiency.

The role demands 5+ years of data engineering experience with strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on work with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and data warehousing tools like Databricks, and a solid grasp of data modeling. Experience in fintech or payments environments is valued. You'll need to balance technical depth—building robust pipelines, optimizing performance, ensuring data integrity—with leadership responsibilities and a genuine ability to influence teams across disciplines. The interview includes a technical assessment alongside conversations with the hiring manager and C-suite.
