Production Infrastructure is a global organization of Engineers who architect, build and maintain our world-class infrastructure. From colo design/implementation, to optimizing our exchange connectivity, to building world class low latent Wide Area Networks, we leverage research and automation to consistently adapt and innovate our infrastructure to scale and drive our trading and evolving business.
- Work with multiple teams to implement and optimize network infrastructure for proprietary low latency trading applications at various data centers throughout the world
- Identify technical challenges and conduct technical troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Take an automated data driven approach to diagnosing and solving complex network infrastructure issues
- Utilize monitoring tools to locate, diagnose and resolve network related issues throughout the infrastructure
- Communicate impact of network related issues to traders, developers and other business resources
- Support and troubleshoot a hybrid wireless and wired high performance network environment
- Leverage automation skills and take a “dev ops” approach to improve efficiency of solving complex network infrastructure issues, network management, and maintenance of trading applications
- Assist in documentation of new processes and procedures to improve team efficiency
- Demonstrates a high level of energy, results driven and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
- At least 5+ years of hands-on networking experience
- CCNP certification or equivalent
- Advance knowledge and troubleshooting of IP networking and TCP/ IP
- Advance knowledge of Switching, Routing (BGP) and Multicast (IGMP, PIM)
- Knowledge of Linux Administration and scripting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of global team in a fast-paced environment. Encourages participation and values collaboration with all team members spread across multiple offices
- Demonstrates good judgment, ability to evaluate short and long-term impact, and confidence to select and execute decision when required and take full responsibility for end results

About this role
Jump Trading's Production Infrastructure team operates at the intersection of cutting-edge research and mission-critical systems, building and maintaining the low-latency networks that power proprietary trading globally. This role puts you at the center of that operation, working across multiple data centers to design, optimize, and troubleshoot network infrastructure that directly enables the firm's trading applications. You'll move beyond reactive support into a proactive, data-driven mindset—using monitoring tools and automation to diagnose complex issues before they impact traders, and building processes that make the team more efficient over time.
The position demands strong foundational networking skills: at least five years of hands-on experience, CCNP certification or equivalent, and deep knowledge of IP routing, switching, BGP, and multicast protocols. You'll also need Linux administration and scripting ability to take a DevOps approach to infrastructure challenges. Beyond technical chops, the role requires you to communicate clearly with traders and developers under pressure, collaborate effectively across a global team, and demonstrate the judgment to make decisions and own the outcomes.
