Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Viant is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Sr. Technical Account Manager to serve as a strategic post-sales thought leader for our most important clients. This role sits at the intersection of technology, measurement, and client strategy, partnering closely with Sales Engineering, Account Management, and product teams to deepen relationships, elevate technical maturity, and accelerate adoption of Viant’s advanced measurement and data solutions. You will play a critical role in scaling strategic accounts post-sale, translating complex technical and measurement capabilities into clear business value, and helping clients fully realize the long-term impact of Viant’s platform.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives as a trusted advisor, enjoys shaping solution strategy, and can influence outcomes across both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a combination of exceptional project management and client service skills, as well as knowledge of the advertising technology landscape. You should have a strong understanding of client service best practices and end-to-end solutions delivery.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Serve as a strategic technical thought leader in the post-sale lifecycle, partnering with Account Management to grow adoption, expand use cases, and retain and upsell key accounts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders by aligning Viant’s measurement and data solutions to broader business objectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales Engineering to ensure continuity of solution strategy from pre-sale handoff through execution and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Intelligence, and Operations teams to unblock complex challenges and deliver high-impact solutions for strategic accounts.
  • Lead client measurement strategy across Viant Advanced Reporting and third-party measurement solutions to improve insight quality, performance understanding, and ROI.
  • Scope and deliver custom reporting solutions that enable advanced analysis, executive-level storytelling, and long-term measurement evolution.
  • Develop training materials and documentation to level up internal Sales and Account teams and strengthen post-sale execution.
  • Use Google BigQuery SQL to investigate data discrepancies, validate data integrity, and surface actionable insights that inform optimization and decision-making.

GREAT TO HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Account Management, Project Management, Ad Operations, or related roles
  • 4+ years experience with Ad Tech platforms such as demand-side platforms (DSPs), data management platforms (DMPs), Customer Data Platform (CDP), and/or clean rooms technology
  • Strong understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including DSPs, ad serving, programmatic buying, onboarding, and measurement
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical and measurement concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in SQL (Google BigQuery preferred) and cloud-based analytics tools
  • Strategic mindset with a bias toward action; comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing without authority
