About this role
Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-based professional services firm backed by private equity, is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join its growing tax practice. You'd work directly with clients—including high net-worth individuals, family offices, and businesses—preparing tax returns across multiple entity types (individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts) and providing tax consulting services. The role involves preparing workpapers, researching complex tax issues, and communicating technical matters clearly to clients and government agencies. You'll report to Managers and Partners in a deadline-driven environment where strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of public accounting experience, an accounting degree from an accredited university, and either a CPA or demonstrated progress toward the designation. Beyond technical competency, Prosperity values self-motivation, the ability to prioritize multiple assignments independently, and genuine enthusiasm for learning through research and peer collaboration. The firm emphasizes a positive, respectful culture and looks for professionals who seek feedback and take initiative on new projects.
This is an in-office role requiring three days per week on-site in Chicago, with a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000. Prosperity offers growth opportunities, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits for candidates who combine technical rigor with strong interpersonal skills.
