About this role

DataVolt is seeking an HVAC Engineer to design and deliver cooling solutions for data centers across its global operations, with the Mumbai office serving as your base. The role centers on developing efficient HVAC systems that balance the competing demands of data center environments—extreme cooling loads, high reliability, and energy optimization—while meeting ASHRAE, ISO, and local building codes. You'll own projects from initial design through completion, producing detailed specifications and drawings, and ensuring timelines and budgets stay on track.

This position requires at least five years of HVAC design experience, with a minimum of three years specifically in data center projects. You'll need strong technical proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and thermal modeling tools, combined with deep knowledge of data center cooling principles and relevant standards. A bachelor's degree in mechanical or HVAC engineering is required; a master's degree is preferred. If you have a track record managing complex cooling projects in mission-critical environments and want to apply that expertise to a company focused on sustainable data infrastructure, this role offers the technical depth and project ownership to match your background.
