About this role

JCDecaux Australia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work on street furniture upkeep across a designated Melbourne area. You'll handle cleaning, poster changes, minor repairs, and vandalism remediation on a daily route, typically working early mornings from 6:00am to 2:30pm (with occasional night shifts). The role requires you to follow safety procedures, use provided mobile devices to log progress, and attend toolbox meetings—balancing independent work with team coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a current driver's license (manual preferred) and is physically capable of hands-on maintenance work. You'll need moderate computer skills, strong communication, and the reliability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. While not essential, a forklift license or White Card would strengthen your application. This is a volunteer position, so your motivation should align with contributing to community infrastructure rather than primary income.

JCDecaux emphasizes workplace wellbeing and offers comprehensive support including training and development pathways, generous leave entitlements (25 days annual leave plus volunteer leave after year one), parental and fertility leave, and involvement in employee-led diversity and sustainability initiatives. The company prioritizes safety and inclusion across all roles.
