About this role

SK Hynix Memory Solutions is seeking a validation engineer to lead the testing and qualification of enterprise PCIe NVMe SSDs. You'll own the design and execution of comprehensive test plans, manage testing workflows, and drive failure analysis across cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, and system-on-chip groups. This role demands deep expertise in low-level storage protocols—PCIe Gen 4/5/6, NVMe 2.0+, and related standards—along with hands-on proficiency in protocol analyzers and test automation using Python or C/C++. You'll also interface directly with field application engineers and customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure products meet both internal specifications and customer requirements.

The position is suited for someone with at least five years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage or semiconductors who thrives on technical depth and systematic problem-solving. Linux kernel knowledge, NAND familiarity, and embedded firmware experience are valued additions. Based in San Jose and in-office, this role offers a salary range of $120,000 to $210,000 annually, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and onsite amenities. It's an opportunity to work on mission-critical memory technologies at a global semiconductor leader while contributing to products that power data centers and advanced computing infrastructure.
