About this role
Money Mart's Honolulu branch needs a hands-on manager who can balance customer service with operational leadership. You'd spend your time on the floor processing loans, check cashing, money transfers, and other financial products while also overseeing a small team, hitting sales targets, and ensuring the branch runs safely and within regulatory requirements. The role demands strong compliance knowledge—particularly around Know Your Customer, anti-money laundering, and fraud prevention—alongside the ability to coach staff, resolve customer issues, and drive collections efforts.
This position suits someone with retail or financial services management experience who genuinely enjoys direct customer interaction and isn't looking to sit behind a desk. You'll need comfort with sales targets and performance metrics, solid attention to detail for documentation and record-keeping, and the judgment to make lending decisions responsibly. The branch operates in a secured environment with controlled access, and all staff complete a multi-week certification before working independently.
The salary range is $24,000–$26,000 annually, with monthly bonus potential tied to operational success. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, paid time off, retirement options, education reimbursement, and various employee discounts on company services and partner perks through Perkopolis.
