About this role

Atwell is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead land development projects across Miami-Dade County, where you'll own the full technical and permitting lifecycle from site analysis through agency coordination. You'll need a PE license and at least seven years of hands-on experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial development in the Miami area—this isn't an entry-level step up, but a role that expects you to hit the ground running with local permitting knowledge and relationships with county and municipal departments.

Your day-to-day will blend technical depth with leadership. You'll produce civil engineering reports covering drainage, grading, and utilities; manage AutoCAD Civil 3D and specialized tools; mentor junior staff; and serve as the primary point of contact between your design team, external consultants, developers, and public agencies. Quality assurance, compliance review, and the ability to adapt plans based on agency feedback are non-negotiable. You'll also contribute to financial targets and help the team meet chargeability goals.

Atwell is a 2,000-person firm with strong credentials—ranked #70 in ENR's Top 500, named Design Firm of the Year for the Southeast, and a ten-time "Best Place to Work." The role is in-office in Miami and offers competitive compensation, annual bonuses, a 401k match, tuition assistance, and a full benefits package including health coverage, paid parental leave, and wellness reimbursement.
