About this role

Vailexa is seeking a VoIP Engineer IV to lead the design, deployment, and support of enterprise voice and contact center systems, with a particular focus on healthcare telecommunications. This is a senior technical role requiring deep expertise across Cisco platforms—particularly Unified Call Manager, contact center solutions, and modern cloud offerings like Webex—combined with proficiency in healthcare-specific integrations like Epic and HL7/FHIR standards. You'll own complex projects involving CTI connectors, API integrations, SIP trunking, and omnichannel routing while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient data security.

The position demands seven years in voice operations and engineering, with at least three years managing infrastructure teams and leading projects. Beyond hands-on technical skills, you'll need to think strategically, architect long-term solutions, and communicate effectively with vendors, colleagues, and end users. The role includes Tier 2 support responsibilities, on-call availability, and non-standard hours as needed. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and Cisco certifications—particularly CCIE—are strongly preferred.

This is an in-office role in Seattle suited to someone ready to take ownership of mission-critical systems and grow into a senior technical leadership position. If you have the healthcare contact center background and Cisco depth this calls for, you'd be contributing to systems that directly support patient care operations.
