About this role

Syska Hennessy Group is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to take on design leadership on complex building systems projects from their Boston office. You'll move beyond junior-level work to own increasingly sophisticated assignments—developing specifications, system layouts, and narratives while mentoring others through quality assurance and field coordination. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and client-facing responsibility, requiring you to work across internal teams and external consultants to bring highly technical buildings to life.

The position demands at least seven years in a consulting environment, current PE registration (or E.I.T./FE as a minimum), and strong proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD MEP. Experience with Life Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, or Mission Critical projects is valued, as is LEED AP certification. Beyond design software, you'll handle construction administration, field inspections, RFI processing, and budget/scheduling input—so this is as much about project management and problem-solving as it is about technical drawings.

The schedule offers genuine flexibility: nine-hour days Monday through Thursday in the Boston office, then a half-day remote on Fridays year-round. Compensation ranges from $91,557 to $166,176 depending on experience, backed by comprehensive medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, professional development support, and transit stipends.
