You will work at the intersection of Engineering, Product Management, strategic partners, and customers to define reference architectures, influence product direction, and accelerate the adoption of open AI infrastructure.

This role offers a unique opportunity to represent Micas as a technical thought leader, collaborating with industry-leading technology partners while driving strategic customer engagements, joint solution development, and go-to-market initiatives. You will have direct exposure to emerging technologies—including AI fabrics, Ethernet-based scale-out networking, SONiC, liquid-cooled networking, co-packaged optics (CPO), and next-generation high-speed Ethernet—and help define how they are deployed in real-world AI infrastructure.

If you are passionate about advancing open AI networking, influencing industry direction, and making a measurable impact in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company, this role offers the opportunity to help shape both the future of Micas and the evolution of AI infrastructure.

About this role

Micas Networks is looking for a senior technical leader who can operate at the intersection of product strategy, customer needs, and ecosystem partnerships in AI networking. As Principal Ecosystem Architect, you'll define reference architectures for next-generation data center infrastructure, represent the company as a technical authority at industry events and customer briefings, and translate market intelligence into product direction. This role requires someone comfortable influencing across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Engineering without formal authority—someone who can simplify complex AI networking concepts for both technical and executive audiences.

The position demands 10+ years in networking, AI infrastructure, or data center technologies, with deep hands-on knowledge of Ethernet switching, RoCEv2/RDMA, SONiC, and high-speed optical networking. You'll be expected to engage directly with customers and partners to understand evolving infrastructure requirements, then partner with internal teams to shape hardware and software roadmaps. Success means delivering validated designs and solution blueprints, building trusted relationships across the AI infrastructure ecosystem, and establishing Micas as a recognized technical leader through speaking engagements, white papers, and thought leadership content.

This is an in-office role based in San Jose. The ideal candidate brings either technical product leadership experience (Principal PM, Product Architect, or Technical Marketing Engineer) or customer-facing technical leadership (Principal Solutions Architect, Field CTO, or Ecosystem Architect), ideally from networking, semiconductor, hyperscale, or enterprise technology backgrounds.
