About this role
Metron seeks a senior subject matter expert to bridge its research and analytics capabilities with operational military customers in the Pacific. Based in Honolulu, you would serve as the primary liaison between Metron's technical teams and INDOPACOM and its Service Components, working directly with flag and general officers to understand their planning challenges and translate them into concrete analytical and software solutions. The role combines customer relationship management at the highest levels with hands-on coordination of engagements that bring researchers, developers, and military planners together.
This position requires deep expertise in joint military planning, space operations, and electromagnetic maneuver warfare—ideally from prior service as a Space Officer or Cadre at the joint or theater level, or equivalent targeting experience. You should understand how military planning processes actually work, be conversant in DoD acquisition and R&D, and have hands-on familiarity with tactical decision aids and battle management systems. Experience with Maritime Operations Centers or Naval Information Warfare organizations is particularly valued. You will also contribute to proposal development, helping identify new customers and define deliverables and costs.
The role demands an active TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor's degree in a technical or national security field, and at least ten years of operational or government experience, with a minimum of seven years specifically in military planning, targeting, or electromagnetic warfare. This is a contract position requiring full-time presence in Hawaii.
