Description

Every therapist deserves a work environment that enables them to provide the best possible services, just as every child deserves the support that empowers them to find their voice. AXIS Teletherapy was built by two SLP sisters who believed therapists thrive when they’re part of a community designed for balance, connection and purpose. Working with schools across the country, both virtual and brick-and-mortar, AXIS delivers remote therapy through a trusted team of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, counselors, and evaluators. The result is high-quality care for students across the country, and a strong, supportive community for the professionals who serve them.

Occupational Therapists at AXIS help students build the practical, emotional, and physical skills they need to navigate school and daily life with greater independence. Working in a virtual model, they bring creativity and clinical insight to each session, adapting strategies that fit both the student’s environment and unique needs. Their work supports not just function, but confidence, helping students participate more fully in their education.

About this role

AXIS Teletherapy, founded by two SLP sisters, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver remote therapy services to students across schools nationwide. You'd work virtually with school-age clients, helping them develop practical, emotional, and physical skills that build independence and confidence in their academic and daily lives. The role emphasizes clinical creativity and the ability to adapt evidence-based strategies to each student's home or school environment, working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes speech pathologists, psychologists, counselors, and evaluators.

This is a 1099 contract position requiring a master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program, a Washington Department of Education Certificate in Occupational Therapy, and at least two years of school-based experience. The company values ethical practice, strong collaboration, cultural competence, and independent problem-solving. You'll need to manage your time effectively and maintain a growth mindset as you navigate the unique demands of teletherapy.

The role offers part-time flexibility—a minimum of 15 hours per week of daytime availability—with competitive pay and what AXIS describes as unparalleled mentorship and support. The entirely remote structure means you can work from anywhere while being part of a community intentionally designed around therapist wellbeing and professional connection.
