About this role

Interpath Laboratory is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist for their Boise location on a PRN (as-needed) basis. You'd handle the full spectrum of lab work—specimen processing, phlebotomy at a neighboring hospital, and testing across blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and other disciplines. The role requires you to operate sophisticated lab equipment, interpret results, flag abnormal values, and communicate findings to pathologists and providers while maintaining strict quality and HIPAA standards.

This position suits someone with current ASCP certification (MLT or MLS) and the relevant degree who's comfortable with variable scheduling and on-call coverage. You'll need to be detail-oriented, physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds, and able to distinguish colors for microscopy work. The job involves regular exposure to potentially infectious samples, so comfort with protective equipment and bloodborne pathogen protocols is essential.

Interpath is an independent, family-owned lab operating across the Pacific Northwest and Midwest with over 60 years of history. They offer a 401(k) with employer match and free in-house lab testing. Pay starts at $28/hour for MLT or $34/hour for MLS, both ASCP-certified.
