Associate, Physical Security

Role Purpose

As an Associate on the Physical Security & Systems team, you help keep LA28's people, guests, and workplaces safe while we establish the security operations behind the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Often the first point of contact at our facilities, you issue access badges, manage visitors, and help people move through our spaces with confidence. This hands-on, service-minded work rewards sound judgment and situational awareness, and helps shape the practices that keep a growing organization safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Provide access control and badging support for employees, keeping records and coordinating with building management and security.
  • · Manage web-based visitor management systems so guests are pre-registered and access follows established security protocols.
  • · Assist employees and guests with inquiries, access needs, and wayfinding, resolving issues professionally.
  • · Maintain clear communication with employees, guests, hosts, security officers, and operations leadership for a seamless experience.
  • · Monitor key areas, report suspicious behavior, and escalate urgent issues to protect guests and staff.
  • · Stay calm during emergencies, following established protocols with lobby officers and LA28 Safety & Security leadership.

Required Competencies

  • · A proactive, friendly, safety-minded approach and genuine enthusiasm for excellent service to employees and guests.
  • · Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and composure, with strong attention to detail.
  • · Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • · Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • · Familiarity with access control systems, video management systems, and web-based visitor management systems is valued.

Valued Experience

  • · Games experience supporting an Olympic, Paralympic, or major multi-sport event.
  • · Venue experience in a stadium, arena, campus, or large venue environment.
  • · Familiarity with emergency response or safety protocols in a high-traffic setting (suggested).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • · Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • · The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • · The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • · Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • · Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • · Able to move about the office and between floors throughout the day, remain alert and situationally aware for extended periods, and work after-hours when needs arise.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,500- $82,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.

$70,500 to $82,000 per year
