About this role
Electric Hydrogen is building software systems that directly power industrial hydrogen production at scale. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer on the Digital Team, you'd own the complete lifecycle of mission-critical applications—from designing telemetry pipelines that ingest data from SCADA systems into cloud platforms, to building the data lakes and web applications that help plant operators, scientists, and field teams optimize performance and accelerate product development. Your work spans the full stack: Python and SQL for data analysis tools, JavaScript/React/TypeScript for customer-facing interfaces, REST APIs, AWS infrastructure, and CI/CD automation.
This role suits someone with solid professional experience across web applications and data platforms who can move fluidly between backend and frontend work. You'll need strong fundamentals in JavaScript, Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Python, along with hands-on experience in relational databases, AWS, and API design. Prior exposure to industrial systems, IoT, or SCADA is valuable but not required. The position demands both technical depth—contributing to architectural decisions and owning projects end-to-end—and collaborative skill, working across manufacturing, R&D, and leadership teams in a fast-moving environment.
Based in San Jose with an in-office work arrangement, the role offers a salary range of $182,000–$226,000 plus equity, a 4% 401(k) match, comprehensive health coverage, and a $75 monthly cell phone allowance. You'll also participate in an on-call rotation for incident response.
