About this role
Muon Space is looking for a Product Manager II to lead the development of critical spacecraft subsystems—power, propulsion, and guidance/navigation/control—that form the backbone of their LEO satellite constellation platform. You'll own the end-to-end roadmap for these hardware domains, working directly with the Director of Product Management to shape strategy, conduct customer interviews, and translate mission requirements into detailed product specifications. This role demands someone comfortable operating in a technically complex environment where you'll influence engineering teams, coordinate with production and supply chain partners, and make trade-offs across multiple concurrent workstreams without direct authority.
The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of product management experience with a track record shipping hardware in deep-tech fields like solar power systems, spacecraft propulsion, or industrial robotics. You'll need a technical background (engineering or computer science degree), strong fluency with engineering peers, and proven ability to move major multi-month initiatives from concept through delivery. Experience in startups or high-growth environments is valued, as is hands-on familiarity with space-qualified hardware, Hall-effect thrusters, or GNC algorithms.
Based in San Jose with a hybrid arrangement (four days on-site), this full-time role offers $190,000–$210,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits including three weeks vacation, unlimited sick time, and paid parental leave. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required due to export control regulations.
