About this role
Modern Animal's Addison clinic is looking for a veterinarian to practice general medicine in a setting deliberately designed around both clinical quality and practitioner wellbeing. The role offers structured shifts focused on a single workflow—exam, urgent care, or procedures—rather than juggling multiple demands simultaneously. You'll have access to a 24/7 virtual care team to support your patients, an empowered in-clinic support staff, and an in-house technology platform built to minimize administrative burden.
The position requires an active Texas veterinary license in good standing and graduation from an AVMA-accredited school. Compensation ranges from $126,000 to $180,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available. Modern Animal backs this with paid time off, parental leave, CE support and paid CE days, health and mental health benefits, and a 401K match—plus no non-competes and free access to their own services for your pets.
This role would suit someone looking for a general practice environment that takes seriously the balance between delivering excellent medicine and protecting your own boundaries. The company emphasizes mentorship, clear career growth paths, and a culture explicitly built on support rather than blame.
