About this role
Antora Energy is seeking a Sr. or Staff Business Development Analyst to support the origination and development of large-scale industrial decarbonization projects, primarily in Spain and Australia with expansion to other markets. You'd work closely with senior business development leaders to identify market opportunities, onboard industrial customers, and shepherd projects from early concept through proposal stage. The role demands strong financial modeling capabilities—specifically the ability to build project economics from energy bill data and stress-test assumptions around utility rates and capital costs—paired with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, finance, and legal teams.
The position requires at least eight years in business development, finance, or a related field, ideally with industrial or energy sector experience. You'll need demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, market research, presentation development, and data analysis, along with strong communication skills for proposal writing and stakeholder engagement. Spanish fluency is a plus but not required; background in renewable energy, industrial decarbonization, or thermally intensive industries (biofuels, food, chemicals) would strengthen your candidacy.
Beyond core responsibilities, you'll help build and refine the development team's processes and systems to support scaling. The role is based in San Jose, California, on-site, with compensation of $158,000–$225,000 annually plus equity, health benefits, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
